Welcome to the 1st entry of our Blog.
“Aging Well begins before age 65” was the focus of a conversation I had with a client, and this prompted me to write down some of the wise counsel on “aging well” that I’ve heard over the years from some phenomenal people and patients of all ages who seemed to be doing just that. They seemed purposed,
were physically active, consumed plant forward meals, prayed often, had positive social connections, and a strong community. Below are some of the “truths” they shared:
Everyday, Be still long enough to hear yourself BREATHE
Sometimes you just have to put cotton in your ears and shut out the negative people
Watch your eyes what they see, your ears what they listen to, and your mouth what it says and swallows
Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial
Be Kind and Good to others and life will be kind and good to you
Laugh to offset the crying and don’t be too serious; it eventually works out
Choose to love
Learn something new everyday
Go to bed on time. Everything seems better after a good night’s sleep
Listen to the lessons from Mother Nature
The way we live each day and how we care for each other impacts the way we age and our longevity. Let's live well to age well!
